Autumn Apple Crumble (For One!)

Hey, Beauties!

We are officially well into the autumn months and with that comes all kinds of yummy fall recipes!

When I think of autumn, I think of warm cider or hot chocolate, homemade bread, pumpkin muffins, and of course, APPLE CRUMBLE!!!!

I LOVE apple crumble! It is SO yummy when it’s nice and warm. One day while surfing the web, I came across a healthy alternative for apple crumble! The best part is, it takes about 10 minutes to make!

Ingredients:

1 Granny Smith Apple

1 TBSP Coconut Oil

1/2 cup Oats

3 TBSP Maple Syrup (I use the E.D SmithVersion with 0g of sugar)

Cinnamon- as much as you’d like!

Instructions:
  • Chop up the Granny Smith apples into small pieces (I find, the smaller the better)

  • Over medium heat, melt coconut oil, and add apples, maple syrup, oats and cinnamon

  • Stir until everything is evenly coated, and apples are soft (5-7 minutes) careful not to let it stick to the pan, and keep the heat low.

3 Ways to Serve It!
  1. Fastest Option: Serve it on its own- put it in a bowl and enjoy!

  2. Breakfast Option: use it as a topping to plain 2% Greek Yogurt

  3. Dessert Option: Let cool a little (but not too much!) and serve with Vanilla Ice Cream or FroYo!

I hope you enjoyed this fast, easy, and YUMMY fall recipe! It is so diverse and can be served on its own, as a yummy balanced breakfast, or as a dessert!

Until next time, be kind to yourself!
